Interim Parish Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Parish Administrator reports to the Rector who is responsible for overall supervision and work prioritization. The  Administrator’s job is generally 19 hours per week with a schedule worked out with the Rector.

We are seeking an interim Parish Administrator who can fill the position for about three months.

Required job skills are as follows:

  • Computer, Internet skills & data entry
  • Communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills (people skills)
  • Organization skills
  • Independent worker

A. Parish Communications – Responsible for preparation and distribution of all parish communications materials. Gather articles for weekly newsletter, assemble & send out weekly via email & post mail for those who need it. Assist Rector with Sunday service leaflets.

B. “Thank You” ministry – Ensure people are appropriately thanked for all service to the parish.

C. Parish liaison – Act as central “point of information”, between Rector/ Vestry and parish ministries

D. Events – Liaison with individuals/group/ church ministries regarding events taking place at St Patrick’s

E. Joint with Treasurer – As needed. Organize check signers to sign weekly checks.

F. Other

1) “Meet and Greet” office visitors and provide general information as needed.
2) Check the PO Box on a daily basis, pick up mail, distribute accordingly
3) Name tags – upon request make parish name tags
4) Telephone – field phone calls and route to appropriate persons
5) Church Key Control – maintain records of who has keys, order keys as needed
